Wookiee &the Rosebuds

Two sisters trying to change the game.

Why We're Here

Because we're sisters, we have shared every minute of our lives together. We've been through the same experiences, and with those experiences: heartbreaks, tragedies, and low moments. Music has always been our safest space. It is where we've gone our entire lives to escape. When we felt like there was nothing else to look forward to, or when we felt as though there was nothing more we could give, music was there to assure us that the world wasn't such a bad place, and our love for music was born. If we can offer that same asylum through music to other people, then we will have fulfilled what we believe to be our purpose. We hope that we can help people the way music helped us, and we hope you will allow us the space to do so. Thank you so much for visiting our site - we hope to see you back soon!

As the lead singer, I clearly have a complex about wanting attention. I wanted to make music because it is the love of my life. I don't know who I'd be without it. I discovered the healing power of music a couple years ago when my struggle with mental illness got particularly difficult. I realized that I could work through my anxiety by writing about it and turning it into art. Through music, I am able to turn something negative into something beautiful. I have a lot of hope that Felicity and I are going to change the world with our music. My only goal is to spread positivity and hopefully provide an escape for people like us who have no idea what they're doing. I hope you enjoy all we have to offer, and I hope you stick around to see us do some pretty amazing things!

All my love,

I am mainly the instrumentalist for the band. I grew up playing stringed instruments like cello, violin, guitar, and bass. Before I learn any other ones, though, I would love to get better at guitar first. Music has always been a part of my life so I plan on keeping it that way. What better way to do that than to start a band, right? I am comfortable in my songwriting abilities, but would like get more confident in singing. Some music that I grew up with was very heavy with guitar from blues, classic rock, and alternative, so I tend to be more drawn to making riffs in those genres. I hope to grow not only as a musician in this band, but also as a person. I'm looking forward to listening to others people's stories and translating music to become a more understanding person.
